The Prague Zoo is located near the center of Prague. It was opened in 1931 and during its more than 80 years of existence it has become one of the most prestigious zoos in the world. Today, after the Prague Castle, it is the second most visited tourist destination in the Czech Republic. There are 4,600 animals belonging to 680 species in the Prague Zoo. On 58 hectares you can walk through 12 unique pavilions and over 150 expositions.
